Sun Valley Plantation & Hummingbird Experience

Step into Jamaica’s green heart

Escape the busy coast and enter a lush tropical world at Sun Valley Plantation near Oracabessa. This family-owned plantation is a peaceful hidden gem filled with fruit trees, colourful flowers, palms and traditional Jamaican plants.

Walk through the gardens and discover how tropical fruits, herbs and traditional Jamaican plants grow. Taste freshly prepared samples such as plantain, papaya and guava, and learn how the land has nourished Jamaican families for generations.

One of the most magical moments is meeting the plantation’s hummingbirds up close. Watch these tiny, brilliant birds move through the garden and enjoy a rare connection with Jamaica’s natural world.

Sun Valley is unhurried, personal and full of warmth — a beautiful experience for nature lovers, families and anyone who wants to discover a quieter side of Jamaica.
